Fost Plus is the Belgian organization responsible for Extended Producer Responsibility for household packaging, focused on driving an ecosystem that aims to prevent resources from becoming waste. Together with Fost Plus, we ensure that plastic packaging used in our daily lives is efficiently collected, sorted, recycled, and can be turned into valuable raw materials for new products. This collaboration allows us to support the circular economy and reduce the ecological footprint.
Plarebel is an active member and co-chairs the technical working group of the European Association of Plastic Recycling & Recovery Organisations (EPRO), playing a vital role in advancing the recycling and reuse of plastic waste across Europe. EPRO’s mission is to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and best practices to drive global development. Through its platform, EPRO promotes the sharing of technical expertise and best practices internationally, helping to accelerate the transition towards a more circular economy for plastics.
essenscia is the Belgian federation representing the chemical and life sciences sectors. It advocates for these industries by engaging with the government, policymakers, and stakeholders, promoting sustainability, innovation, and competitiveness while highlighting their economic and societal contributions. essenscia PolyMatters is part of essenscia and represents the specific interests of plastic producers, plastic processors and masterbatch producers.
Valipac is the Belgian organization responsible for Extended Producer Responsibility for industrial and commercial packaging. They coordinate the collection and recycling of industrial and commercial packaging waste and play a crucial role in closing the loop of materials by turning waste into reusable raw materials.
Styrenics Circular Solutions (SCS) is the initiative to realise the circular economy for styrenics. The association engages the entire value chain in the development and scale-up of recycling technologies and solutions. As members, Plarebel gains access to their innovative solutions and expertise, enhancing our recycling efforts and promoting more sustainable practices in the plastic industry.
Pack4Food helps companies improve food packaging by offering advice, training, and support with daily challenges and innovations. They connect businesses and research institutes to drive both small and large innovations in the packaging chain.
IVP Coatings offers its members advice and expertise and represents the interests of the Belgian paint and coatings industry at the political level.
Plarebel is a member of VKC-Centexbel, the Center for Textile and Plastics Technology and Centre of expertise for the plastics converting industry, which focuses on innovation and technology within the textile and plastics sector.
